This pack of monster figures is a pair of Bugbears; huge, hulking, hairy goblinoids found dwelling in dank underground lairs. The figures were sold in packs of 2 different poses, each of which was made with 4 variant castings. The differences were in head and facial features, as well as the weapons wielded in both hands
Pose 1, variant A. This Bugbear wears a tatty, leather breastplate adorned with studs and a small metal disc. Two leather pouches hang from his belt and he wears a steel bracer on his left fore-arm and a plate and string protector on his right wrist. His right arm holds a weapon above his head and his left arm is raised to shoulder-level. This variant has a pointed beard and an open, snarling mouth showing his vicious teeth. He has long, notched ears and wears a tatty chainmail coif and a leather eyepatch over his left eye. His head looks straight forwards, and he is armed with a single-bladed axe in his right hand and a spiked ball-mace in his left.
Pose 1, variant B. This variant figure has a pointed beard and an open mouth showing his vicious fangs and a protruding tongue. He has long ears, his left one is upright and his right looks a bit limp, and wears a fine chain nose-ring. His head looks straight forwards, and he is armed with a studded wooden club in his right hand and a notched cleaver in his left.
Pose 1, variant C. This variant figure has a pointed beard and a tall, mohican-style haircut, and his closed mouth has protruding lower fangs. He has long ears with a pair of plain earrings in his right and a single ring in his left. His head looks slightly left, and he is armed with a studded ball-mace in his right hand and a javelin in his left
Pose 1, variant D. This Bugbear variant has a pointed beard, his hair is gathered into a topknot (with a small bone through it) and a ponytail, and his closed mouth has his tongue protruding on the left side. He has long ears, without notches or earrings. His head looks slightly right, and he is armed with a spear in his right hand and a single-bladed axe with a back-spike in his left.
Pose 2, variant A. This Bugbear wears a tatty chainmail sleeve on his right arm, and has a variety of small pouches, chains, discs and bones hanging from a leather cross-belt. He has a studded leather vambrace on his left wrist and a fine metal bracelet on his right. His right hand holds a notched, single-bladed sword with the point by his right knee, and his left arm raises a variant weapon above his head. This variant has a pointed beard, a peaked hairstyle with a short ponytail and an open, snarling mouth showing his vicious teeth. He has long ears with a plain earring in each, and wears a large ring through his nose. His head looks slightly to his left and he wields a steel-headed mace that looks a lot like a meat tenderizer in his left hand!
Pose 2, variant B. This variant has a pointed beard, a topknot hairstyle. He has an open, snarling mouth showing his vicious teeth and a protruding tongue. He has long, floppy ears with 2 plain earrings in the left. His head looks to his right and he wields a stone-headed, wooden-hafted hammer in his left hand.
Pose 2, variant C. This variant has a long beard gathered in a braid, a small bone through his nose, and a slightly peaked hairstyle. He has a closed, snarling mouth with protruding upper and lower fangs showing and he has long, pointed ears without earrings. His head looks straight forwards and he wields a primitive-looking stone-headed hammer in his left hand!
